A Second List on the Dashboard

The problem

They get to school and the bag's still in the footwell. Or the project that ate the whole weekend is sitting on the back seat.

The fix

Tape a second little list to the car dashboard. One glance before they jump out — a two-second pause that catches the gear that always gets left behind.

How to actually do it

  1. 1A second tiny list, taped to the dash or stuck to the back of the front seat.
  2. 2Same idea as the door, last checkpoint: bag, hat, the thing for show-and-tell.
  3. 3They read it in the ten seconds before the door opens at drop-off.

Why it works

The car is the last place anything gets forgotten before it becomes a whole separate trip back. Catching it here costs two seconds. Catching it at 9:15 costs your morning.
